I dropped my words in front of you and couldn’t manage to pick them up
We banged heads as we knelt down
You laughed and mentioned something about

Your eyes were still the same shade of blue
And your hands set my skin alight as you brushed my hair from my face
“I still…
I’ll see you around”
Four weeks later I am sat inside your ribcage.
You pin my arms down [flutter-shut] and smile into my bloodstream
My bones will bend beneath yours.
I am brittleboned, you are solid hearted,
And I cannot begin to break you.
